MATCHING SAFARI
UX/UI Concept: Kids Mobile Learning Game

Concept mobile game designed to explore early childhood UX/UI design focused on memory learning, simplicity, and engagement for children ages 4–8.

Overview
Matching Safari is a mobile memory game designed for children ages 4–8. The goal was to create a fun, educational experience that helps kids learn animal names while improving memory and recognition skills through simple gameplay.

The Challenge
Design a safe, age-appropriate mobile experience that is easy to understand instantly, avoids overstimulation, and promotes early learning through play.

The Idea
Create a bright, intuitive memory game system that uses simple interaction patterns, clear visual hierarchy, and playful animal illustrations to support independent use by young children.

What I Did

  • Designed the full mobile app experience, including game flow, UI, and interaction structure

  • Developed a simple and intuitive user flow so children could start playing immediately without instruction

  • Created a visual system using bright, friendly colors and simple animal illustrations to support engagement without overstimulation

  • Designed game settings with clear accessibility-driven controls, including sound on/off and difficulty toggles

  • Defined a color-coded interaction system (green for start/easy, red for off/advanced) to support early user understanding

  • Used Figma and Adobe Illustrator to design and prototype the full experience

Outcome
Delivered a child-friendly learning experience focused on simplicity, clarity, and engagement, supporting memory development through intuitive gameplay.
